A Drag Fundraiser for Trans Healthcare

Tribe, 1515 Church Street, Nashville, TN 
Transit available from Big Drag Bus to and from Tribe from 6:45 pm to 10:30 pm.
Pick up at the 6th Ave underpass on Level 2 of Music City Center
(Alternatively a ~7 min Uber ride, ~20 min walk from the center) 
Shows at 8pm & 9pm. Bring cash for the queens

About the campaign

Ash Wellness is on a mission to make healthcare more inclusive and accessible. Join us with partners Inclusion Tennessee, HLTH Foundation, and Mistr for a 🌈drag show fundraiser🌈 in the heart of LGBTQ+ Nashville.

This is an opportunity for ViVE 2023 attendees and LGBTQ+ allies to give back by providing tangible healthcare support for some of the most vulnerable in Tennessee. 

Tribe is a 7 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the conference. Drinks are included with ticket. Please bring cash to tip our queens!

Why are we doing this?

The Tennessee transgender healthcare ban takes effect on July 1, 2023, at which point minors will lose in-state access to gender-affirming care.

While an original interpretation of the bill gave minors until March 31, 2024 to find an out of state doctor, a more recent clarification halts children from receiving puberty blockers, hormone therapies or surgical procedures in Tennessee as soon as July 1. As a result, minors will be forced to de-transition unless they can travel out of state before summer.

Donations can be made at online as well as by QR code at the event. If you won't be at ViVE, no worries! You can still donate to the cause. HLTH Foundation will match donations up to $3,000.

All proceeds go toward emergency funds for Tennessee trans youth to access gender-affirming care out of state.
